Yoga Class Basics

Slow-paced class focused on alignment and adjustments for building a strong foundation. Just because it’s basic does not mean it’s easy.

No experience necessary, gentle to moderate.

Restore & Renew

A gentle class with breathing exercises, slow and relaxing movement with beginner friendly poses to prepare the body for meditation at the end of class. Ideal for people with movement limitations or those brand new to yoga.

All levels, gentle.

Yoga with breathing exercises

Strengthen & Lengthen

Vinyasa style class with a specific emphasis on strengthening and lengthening major muscle groups. Longer holds and slower pace than a power class. It’s a workout where the intensity sneaks up on you.

All levels, moderate to vigorous.

Vinyasa Flow

A dynamic practice that links movement and breath together almost like a dance. In most classes, you won’t linger for too long in any one pose. Runners and endurance athletes are often drawn to vinyasa because of the continuous movement.

All levels, moderate to vigorous.

Yoga classes for stretching

Yin

If you want to calm and balance your body and mind, this is where you’ll find your zen. The opposite of a faster moving practice like vinyasa. In yin yoga, poses are held for several minutes at a time. This meditative practice is designed to target your deeper connective tissues and fascia, restoring length and elasticity. You’ll release into each posture instead of actively flexing or engaging the muscles. Yin is a great option for people who need to stretch and unwind.

All levels, gentle to moderate.

Power Yoga

If you love a tough workout that leaves you sweaty and wrung out, you’ll love power yoga! You’ll flow and breathe through each pose at a quicker pace than a vinyasa class, while building internal heat and increasing your heart rate. A great option to introduce your gym friends to yoga.

All levels, vigorous
